Escalation!
Dear Friends,
Things here continue to escalate at a rapid pace. The moon of Dalamud now hangs so large, that it's glow can be seen in either day or night. You can feel it's heat and it doesn't seem to be slowing. As it draws closer, the attacks from the strange mawed creature known as Atomos have seemed to quicken. It is moving onward to camps closer to home, leaving the crystals in some of the out camps nearly drained of all their ether. Those crystals glow no more.
Several of us, are planning to do something bold. Instead of defending the camps from the strange beasts that spew from Atomos's maw, we are going to attempt to attack the fiend itself. Wish us luck... On another note, the land invasions from the Empire have began again. However, this time they seem concerned with raiding the strongholds of the beastmen. What could they be up to now, I wonder.

Return of the Twelve?
Dear Friends,
The verdict is in. Meteor comes. Comets and falling debris streak the skies above us. Strange sounds echo through the whispers of the wind, unusual auroras can be seen in the glow of the moon light. Somehow, even with the fall of the White Raven himself, Dalamud moves closer still. Today, I was called before Louisoux and this terrible truth was confirmed. Yet, there is a plan.
Remember all that strange talk some time ago about us common folk having the ability to "summon our own primals"? Well, it seems that was in reference to the Twelve gods of Eorzea. Such desperate times are these that I have been dispatched to visit the long forgotten holy shrines of the Twelve gods and pray for a miracle. Sounds almost ridiculous, does it not? Well friends, what if I told you that while undertaking this errand, I felt something... I swear I did. Each time I knelt my head in prayer I could actually feel the power of the gods shining over me. Could it be? Will the Twelve awaken at our request?
As soon as he appeared, he vanished mysteriously. Yet his voice continued to taunt me from an airship high overhead. What manner of technical sorcery is this?!? I beseech the Twelve to answer our prayers. We will need their divine power to overcome the technical monstrosities the Garlean Empire is sure to unleash upon us.
Despite this grim outlook. I have faith. I am not alone. Many adventurers have undertaken the pilgrimage of prayer. Those of us who have been faithful and who have served the Eorzean Alliance have been official recognized. The number of heroes who can claim this this honor grows a bit larger with the passing of every day. He was been rewarded with a symbol of our deed, a decorative horn at which in the center is mounted a glowing bit of stone from the fallen meteors. This Horn of Dalamud serves as a badge of honor as we prepare to step into the uncharted future, ready to do battles with the gods at our sides.

The Battle Continues
Dear Friends,
It seems that despite our victory against Legatus Nael van Darnus, the Empire continues to prepare for war. Imperial airships have been spotted in the skies all over Eorzea, flying lower than ever. I personally have even seen them buzzing the skyline of Ul'dah.
I must admit, I am confused. The moon of Dalamud continues to grow larger at a rapid pace. We were certain that the defeat of Darnus was to put an end to this nonsense. It appears perhaps this is not the case.
The prophecy of Urianger is now on every one's lips. Even that quirky detective is "on the case" trying to discern it's meeting. Well... perhaps I should say he was on the case. It seems that he somehow got it in his head that HE was actually the great hero we were waiting for, and due to a series of rather unfortunate, but comical events, managed to set off an explosion that rocketed him to the skies above- presumably into the heart of Dalamud itself. So, that being said, if he survived the trip I hope he puts those detective skills to use.

The beginning of the end...
Dear Friends,
Things in Eorzea are escalating fast... weaponized Imperial airships have been seen in the skies over Cortheas. There are rumors of the them farther south as well. It seems the blow the Eorzean alliance struck to Castrum Novum has not gone unnoticed by the Emporer. An all out assault is brewing, I can sense it in the air. I don't think we've had even a taste of what's to come...
The newly unified Grand Company alliance has began organizing military exercises on some of islands south of Limsa Lominsa. Wild beasts and captured monsters are being used as training fodder. I have yet to enroll and participate, but I should. There is some very nice weaponry being rewarded to participants. The Twelve knows I'll need them.
Make no mistake, I am predicting an out and out war with the Garlaen Empire soon... maybe worse. There is no telling what is one the horizon. Dalamud grows ever larger in the sky and there have even been unconfirmed reports of falling debris from the satellite burning up in the skies above.
Friends, if you are the praying sort, now is the time. I fear for our future but will continue to do all I can to help safeguard to people and lands I love.

Victory!
Dear Friends,
Today the newly reformed Eorzean Alliance has stuck a major victory against the oppression of the Empire. After analyzing the information recovered from the airship crash, Cid Garlond learned that Empire has constructed a radio transmitter which is located in their new outpost of Castrum Novum. It is this transmitter that is acting a remote control for Dalamud. It is believed that by destroying it we will be able to sever the influence that the Empire has over the celestial body and prevent catastrophe!
I joined one of many raid teams that was being put together and made way for the rendezvous point just south of the stronghold. Once there, we prepared to storm the outpost. We didn't have time to plan a quiet infiltration, this was going to be an all-out assault.
Once inside, we faced resistance unlike any I've encountered before. There were slews of Imperial troops and enough magitek vehicles to make any adventurer think twice. Eventually, we were able to battle our way to control room only to find the magitek transmitter heavily guarded.
Not only, was the core itself protected by energy field generators, another magitek vanguard stalked the room to fend off intruders. Finally, with a well placed strategy, we were able to knock the generators offline long enough to cause critical damage to the transmitter.
Our immediate celebration was short-lived. From the flames of the control room's destructed emerged none other than Legatus van Darnus. Indeed, he did rave like a mad man. He claimed that his "new master" did not require the aid of machines. Darnus claimed that with newly recovered magic at his disposal, he alone could control the fall of Dalamud. With that power, he will destroy all of Eorzea's primals and inhabitants, remaking the world as he sees fit.
It hard to tell if there is any truth to his words. But there is no doubt we have struck a decisive blow to the Empire's plans! May this be the first of many victories to come!

Feathered Menace!
Dear Friends,
I'm afraid the bad news continues to roll in. Today, a team of us were dispatched to Quarrymill, a hamlet deep in the Twelveswood to validate the reports of of a great disturbance in the area. I immediately suspect more Imperial activity, but boy was I wrong!
It seems thatt the beastmen have succeeded in bringing legendary god to the lands of Eorzea. The feared Garuda, Primal of the skies was laying siege to the poor hamlet of Quarrymill!
The fury of her winds were quite frightening. For a moment, I stood there in awe of both her raw power and sheer beauty. I must admit, I felt more than just a tinge of fear being in the presence of such power. But, I remembered my fight with the Primal of Fire, Ifrit. If I was able to face him, I could face this challenge as well.
In defense of the Twelveswood, my companions and I launched an attack. Together, we were able to defeat her!
But that is the not the end... No sooner had the dust settled, did the Imperial Legatus, Nael van Darnus appear. He seemed genuinely pleased that we had vanquished Garuda, claiming we had done him a favor. With both Primals defeated, he claims that we have only cleared the way for domination by the Empire. He confirmed what we all have longed feared. The Empire is controlling the moon of Dalamud, drawing it closer to Hydaelyn, with the intention to decimate Eorzea and exert their control in the aftermath.
Amused by our resistance, he vanished as quickly as he appeared. Quickly, I reported this information to both my superiors and Cid Garlond at the Adder's Nest in Gridania.
Cid did not seem to surprised with the Empire's plan. But rather, more concerned with their ability to control the moon so precisely. He stated that one such previous attempt ended in failure, and the ancient device needed to perform such a deed was destroyed. Cid seems to think that perhaps the Empire has discovered a way to harness the very power of Aether to do their bidding... This would certainly explain the Imperial's Aether collecting devices found in Toto-Rak and the Dzamael Darkhold... He also made a statement that caught my interest. He suggested that Dalamud is no ordinary moon. But rather, a man-made device placed into orbit the the ancients... WHAT?!?! I must research this more....
After my meeting, I was sent back to the Stillglade fane to meet again with the Seedseer, Kan-E-Senna. It was there that she revealed to me her intentions to reform the long stale Eorzean Alliance between the three nations. Together, she hopes to stand united against the Garlean threat.
Oh, I do hope we can manage. If the Empire can crash the very moon, or whatever Dalamud may be into Erozea, I fear all hope of defeating them may be lost...

Great Ball of Fire!
Dear Friends,
The moon of Dalamud grows ever larger. I swear I can see the jagged rocks of it's surface. Gods help us if it would make contact with our world! I pray that all of you remain safe back home. Please be assured we are doing all we can to prevent what is now obvious to all from happening...

Dragoon Training
Dear Friends,
I have spent the last several days developing my skills as a Dragoon. As I train, I will often feel the stir of the dragon within my soul. It is exciting! Who would have ever thought... Regardless of my excitement, I must keep my feelings in check. Today, while training I noticed that again, the moon of Dalamud has grown larger and brighter. Meteor is coming. We MUST BE READY.

Soldier of Fortune
Dear Friends,
It seems like so long ago that I came to Eorzea with the mindset to study the art of alchemy. Fate has a funny way of changing your life in the blink of an eye. I have spent the last several weeks working almost exclusively for the three Grand Companies of Eorzea. I wish I could go into detail over everything I've experienced in just the last few days, but it would simply be too much to write.
In a nutshell, I have learned some pretty astounding truths. There is something big coming. We've all known that, but only now is it starting to make itself clear. I believe the archon, Urianger. It has been revealed to me that he, as well as Papalymo, and several others are members of a secret group, not unlike the Path of the Twelve. They were sent to Eorzea from a far away land, to warn us all of the future ahead. Urianger was tasked with inspiring the recreation of the Grand Companies. I have even been privy to a meeting between him and the leader of the Maelstrom (what an oddly exciting young lady she is!).
It's not too late to change the fate of the world. Details are sketchy, but somehow it's all tied into moon of Dalamud, and the strange red color it has recently taken on. It has something to do with the sudden increase in monsters, and the recent actions of the Empire.
I've learned that Cid Garlond was once in the employ of Garlemald. He was the creator of many of the terrible Magitek machines that invaded Ala Mihgo. Filled with guilt and outrage at what the Empire had done, he defected to Eorzea to lend his services in any way he could. I can see his heart, and I trust him.
Nowhere is safe. Imperial spies are everywhere, we've found them within the ranks of the city-states, employees of the Ironworks, and even within the Grand Companies. Luckily, we were able to catch several after learning their identities. One of them, however, did escape us.
Over the last few days, I have attended grand recruitment ceremonies for all three companies. I have listened to speeches of each leader. I have had the pleasure of meeting them, and being personally invited into their ranks as contracted member.
It is after much reflection, I have made my choice. Today, I was recognised as a Serpent Private Third Class in the Order of the Twin Adders. I have decided to make Gridania my new home, both physically and by pledge.
I'm a bit overwhelmed after thinking back on everything the last few days have brought. I think I will retire for the night. If I'm going to offer the best I have to both the company and all of Eorzea, I will need to begin rigorous training. I have no doubt that war is coming, and I am no longer primarily Kijimuna the Alchemist. I am Kijimuna the soldier.
