Guild Work

Dear Friends,

All is well at this time. Those of us in the Kindred Souls linkshell continue to train diligently. It is my goal to master every weapon I can get my hands on. Recently, I have been accepted into the Archer's guild and I've even managed to join the ranks of those nefarious pirate marauders down in Limsa Lominsa. Trivial "seek and destroy" tasks were assigned to me each time, but I can say I returned successful each time. My next goal is to be accepted by the two magic guilds. Wish me luck!

Knuckle up!

Dear Friends,


I am been accepted into the ranks of Platinum Mirage, the guild of Pugilists. As you may know, the guild is financed in large part by gambling operations. I'm ashamed to admit that my first task was that of debit collector. Luckily, I did not have to resort to violence to accomplish my goal. Well, not directly. One patron only agreed to pay up if I agreed to a duel in the gladiator arena. So oddly enough I found myself back in the pit.  Regardless, I returned to the guild with payment.

So remember, watch yourselves! I may have to rough you up!  Haha!!

Blood on the Sands

Dear Friends,

I hope all is well. I am still working on diversifying my training and I must say, it is really going quite well! I'm learning so many new skills. I've become adept enough with a blade that I was invited by the Gladiator's Guild to participate in a practice match. I was pitted against an Ala Mhigan challenger... and I won!

Don't worry! I'm not a killer. We were only sparring. I don't think I could slay another man for mere sport. Besides, I earned a tidy-enough sum of gil just practicing! Haha!

I think I shall pay a visit to some of the other guilds now that I am becoming skilled in more than just my lance. I shall keep you updated on my progress.

Ifrit Bleeds, We Can Kill It

Dear Friends,

At the urging of Louisoix, we have undertaken an investigation into the Amalj'aa Aetheryte node that was recently uncovered south of Camp Broken Water. As suspected, it was indeed a portal back into the Bowl of Embers (home to the Amalj'aa primal Ifrit). It seems our previous victory against the monster was short-lived.

Using a ceremonial lamp taken from the Amalj'aa stronghold, we were able to force our way into the Primal's hideout and attack him by surprise. Louisoix's suspicions seemed to be confirmed. Upon his first defeat, Ifrit had returned to his plane where was slowly increasing in power.

I must say, this fight against him was a challenge unlike any other I have undertaken. On more than one occasion we were forced back through the portal only to have to forge our way back through and begin the battle anew.

Eventually, we conceived a strategy that in the end proved successful!

Upon his defeat, we uncovered a large cache of treasure. Sadly, I was able to salvage nothing more than a chuck of dark matter materia. Something tells me what have not yet seen that last of this monster. I suspect keeping this primal subdued and in his own realm may become a standard duty for us...

Super Hottie

Dear Friends,

I hope you all are well. Please be assured that those of us in the Kindred Souls linkshell are doing all that we can to help defend against the Imperial Threat. Our ranks have swelled lately and all of us have began training in other disciplines of magic and war.

Lately, I've taken to helping Snowi train in the ways of the lance. She has even recently been accepted as a Dragoon just like me! Please allow me to digress for a moment... SHE IS SUCH A SUPER-HOTTIE! *ahem* Ok.

Mojo and I have decided to begin a strict campaign of Aetheryte camp defense. We are undertaking as many guildleves for the factions, and signing up for as many behest-operations as we can.

I think we will soon attempt to investigate the Bowl of Embers once more to either confirm or dispel the rumors of Ifrit's reawakening. Wish us luck on that!

Dreams and Nightmares

Dear Friends,

I've been haunted by some of the strangest dreams lately!! For the last four nights in a row I've had one sort of dream or another, and they are SO WEIRD! Everything from playing with a herd of cats, to sleeping in a giant egg! Haha!

Last night, however, I had a terrible nightmare. I was lying incapacitated on a battle field. My companions all lay dead around me. The Imperial Legatus approached me and drew his fierce gun-halberd. Just as he was about to land the killing blow, I jolted awake only to find myself on the floor or my inn-room.

Unlike the other dreams, this one was so vivid it was almost frightening.

I hope that all of you are having much better dreams than me.

On a side note, I love the complimentary snacks that Roost have been leaving on my pillow. But a grilled carp??? ON MY PILLOW? I think It's time to have a word with the manager.
